Kencras Foundation is born after a long but interesting evening chat. The mission was clear and the goal was set.
The agreement was to help restore the hope cancer have stolen over the years by allowing as many people as possible to have yearly and timely cancer screening
The idea is noble and timely. Regular screening gap has been prevalent and it has been overwhelming once the discovery is done late.
There is hope once awareness is created and means of dealing with the cancer and renal failure made affordable.
It is paramount to sensitize the general public that some of these non-communicable diseases are painless and the symptoms come in after the affected organ is damaged beyond repair (late stages) and if the screening gave early warnings, the situation could have been salvaged or reversed and treatment could not have been as expensive as it is with late detection whereby the chances are dismal.
Let’s join hands as healthcare in African set ups is taking toll due to information and resources challenges. These are the gaps to be identified and be sealed.
